Director's Welcome
Welcome to The Village School Athletics!
I am honored to be serving as the Athletic Director here at TVS. We are all so fortunate to be part of this community and so blessed to have a small part in building its foundations and traditions.
Our athletic programs play an essential role in teaching our athletes to conduct themselves with honor and integrity along with the other Christ skills we look to for guidance. Athletics gives them opportunities to grow as young men and women, with accountability to one another in a team setting, as well as providing socio-emotional learning that can only be found in high pressure competitive environments. These allow our student-athletes to develop a sense of teamwork and service to their community, all of which will pay dividends later on in life.
Our athletic department is committed to providing a challenging, competitive, supportive, and caring environment that will allow each individual athlete to reach their full academic, athletic, and spiritual potential.
We expect our student-athletes, coaches, fans, and community members to conduct themselves in a manner that shows respect and sportsmanship in ALL that we do. From practices, team meetings, home and away contests, travel, etc, everything we do will be done with respect, class, and to the best of our abilities.
In order to best help your students become the most successful version of themselves, we are going to be incorporating Strength and conditioning work into all teams, at an age appropriate level. Those on Varsity teams are STRONGLY encouraged to be taking the strength and conditioning elective offered by Coach Schmidt. This is the single best thing a student athlete can do in order to set themselves up for success, not just in athletics, but also academics and socially.
Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to all that our Knights will accomplish this year!! KNIGHTS FOR LIFE
Go Knights!
